Aimed at beginners, but all welcome. We will discuss decoding the question, the importance of research, note-taking, planning the structure, referencing styles and writing reference lists, thesis statements, introduction and conclusion, doing ‘drafts’ and getting feedback. We will explore the different meanings of instructional words in assignment questions as well as the importance of utilising the marking rubric to concentrate on what is being assessed. Students will be encouraged to bring along specific assignment questions from their T3 courses.
